As the youngest in a family of four girls, I learned at an early age that a position on the sidelines – rather than in the center of the action – could afford one the benefit of perspective, the chance to ‘take it all in’. My early appreciation for not missing the little things ignited a love for photography and film as a means of memorializing the people and moments that change our lives forever.

While I was attending the Brooks Institute Photography School, a renowned photographer explained that ‘the human face is the strongest landscape in the world’, and helped me see that the most valuable images are not the ones that will be recycled from a magazine after a month, but those that will be treasured on a family’s mantel for years on end. I consider it a privilege to work as a Portrait Photographer, sharing in – and capturing an intimate and authentic perspective of – a couple’s first moments as husband and wife, a newborn’s first few days in this world, or any occasion upon which a client will think back with love, knowing even the little things were honored by the camera I carried.
